Image is of a woman, nude standing in the centre of a mystical, whirling design of cranes, fish, and waves. We see her backside and her face, turned left, is visible over her shoulder and we see her looking downwards with a demure expression. Her long, dark hair is flowing and intertwined with the natural elements around her. There are waves and wind flowing throughout the image, with fish within the waves in the upper half. There are two cranes, the first is in the lower-left corner. The second crane is in the upper-right corner, which is wrapped in her hair. Her hands form soft fists held in front of her and while her right foot is planted on the ground, the heel of her left foot is slightly raised, suggesting movement. The image reproducer’s signature, “Hare Sc” is in the lower-left corner. The author’s signature, “RB” is in the lower-right corner, along with the date “1891.” The image is vertically displayed within a distinct, black bounding box. There are Japanese influences.
