MR. T.C. GOTCH, 1895

This photograph of Thomas Cooper Gotch is full-length and shows him standing outside of a building, facing the camera with his left hand on his hip, right hand hanging loosely. His left foot points forwards, and right foot points left. He is wearing a sweater, trousers, and jacket; the left side of his jacket rests behind his left arm. A light handkerchief is sticking out of the left breast pocket. He has a full beard, and his hair is cut short, about 2 inches long. One piece of hair has been swept onto his forehead. The photograph was taken beside a building, in the background the brick wall, a large ivy vine and window are visible. Potted plants are on the ground behind him, on either side of him.
